Aerial dance classes, Spring and Summer session added.

DSC_0452Caroline Calouche & Co. is an aerial and contemporary dance company located in the Charlotte region that tours throughout the southeast. We are offering very affordable aerial fabric dance classes at Inner Peaks and Inner Peace!

What is Aerial Dance? Aerial Dance originates from high-flying circus arts that require apparatus such as trapeze, aerial fabric, rope and harness, bungee cord and Spanish rope. The difference between the circus and dance is that dance choreographers incorporate the apparatus and its capabilities of flying the human body into themes and concepts rather than solely performing the ‘tricks’ as in circus aerialists.

Last session sold out, so book early!

Cardio and weight training equipment now available to all yoga students.

The mezzanine level fitness room is up and running. The new cardio equipment was delivered yesterday. Other workout gear includes free weights, stability balls and a slackline. Fitness room usage is free for all yoga students on the day they take a class. This is one thing that makes Inner Peace a unique Charlotte yoga studio. We are a true yoga studio, but because of the association with Inner Peaks, can offer additional activities, either discounted or free, making it a better value for our students!

The slackline is particularly unique. We don’t know of another gym in Charlotte that has one. Slacklining is a cross-training method pioneered by climbers and now loved by yogis and many other fitness enthusiasts. Is is basically a long piece of climbing webbing stretched between to posts that you walk on, very similar to a tightrope. It is a very challenging and strangely addicting activity. Many of our yoga teachers are learning, particularly Daniel McCall, so ask for a demo on how it works after class.
